Toyota engineered your truck to run it's best with this filter. Take a close look at your intake system, notice that the air going to your air box is cooler air drawn in from OUTSIDE the hood? THAT is a proper intake system. They knew what they were doing. We've seen the "cold air intake" that draws HOT air from under your hood using a questionable paper cone filter and the "billion mile" filters that can cause more problems than performance gained.
Don’t waste your time or money on the “lifetime” clean and oil stuff, the only gains from those are excess dirt getting into your engine and a lighter wallet.
